The Winners of the 1st Annual Yachtbuddy Photographic Competition 2007 are:

The 1 st Prize, “Best Yachting Photograph of The Year”, is awarded to Jon Cartwright for “Homeward Bound”.

Jon wins the US $ 1,000 prize and a trophy. The panel consisted of 4 judges, all with experience as photographers. Each judge submitted a winner and 9 runners up. Jon’s photo was a winner without a doubt.

Choosing the 9 Runners Up was more difficult. Clearly a few photographers were unlucky not to be included. The 9 Runners Up are awarded “Yachting Photograph of the Year Finalist” with prizes of a Certificate and a Yachtbuddy .com t-shirt each.

Thanks to all the competitors for the fine photos. We will be running the competition again in 2008 so look out for that. I had some technical difficulties with the software and I would like to thank all for their patience. For this reason some of the Authors names are missing in this announcement. Also one of the winners photos has a title consisting of numbers. I will adjust the list once I hear from the authors. Due to the same difficulties I need the winners to contact me with their names, mailing addresses and t-shirt sizes (Mens and Womens). Please provide proof of your identity by attaching a copy of the photo.

The judging panel were Kelvin Saunders, Craig Zocher, Joy Milner and Anthony Todd (Yachtbuddy).
