Jerry Weintraub, Director of Oceans 13, and George Clooney held a Charity party in aid of the Darfur Charity ‘Not On Our Watch’ on board RM Elegant in Cap d’Antibes. Present were fellow partners and film stars Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Ellen Barkin, Scott Caan, Elliot Gould, Daniel Craig, Al Pacino and Don Chaedle. Angelina Jolie stayed at the hotel, playing with the kids. Tickets apparently went for up to US $ 200,000 and millions was raised. OK! Magazine apparently paid royally for the picture and interview rights.

Guests enjoyed a four-course dinner, including lobster, beef with truffles and a choice of five desserts. There was an outdoor jacuzzi filled with floating rose petals, a full casino, magicians, circus acts, a surround-sound music system and interactive games console ‘play area’, and skeet shooting from the upper decks.

An 18-year-old waitress named Victoria Hart landed the gig of a lifetime, singing during the lavish benefit for Darfur. She’s already recorded her first album, but prior to the party had no record deal. Five hundred bottles of Krug and Cristal Champagne were shipped in at an estimated cost of US $ 200,000.

Of course, the reason for all the celebrities being present in Cannes is to attend the Cannes Film Festival. One of the films being promoted is ‘Oceans 13′ due out in June.
