Win a Yacht Restoration Project

July 6th, 2007 by yachtbud

Ever wanted to have your own majestic wooden racing yacht? Now is your chance!

Members of the Victory Class of racing yachts are proud of their traditions. They welcome newcomers, and for wooden-boat lovers there’s an exciting opportunity to join them. The class has a boat that needs restoring, and wants to give it to a Practical Boat Owner reader who is prepared to give it lots of TLC.

So if you are a keen amateur woodworker who would like to sail a classic day-racer, there’s a hull that could be yours. When the hull is completed, there’s a rig and sails on offer, too. For a chance to win this restoration project, check out the August issue of Practical Boat Owner, on sale now!

A 90 footer needs as many as 21 energetic crew on board, and the additional length will give extra speed and competition in winds from 8 to 30 knots.

Spain or Italy?
