I rolled into Abracadabra, English Harbour, late on Saturday night for the Heaven and Hell Party. I managed to take a few pictures before I lost the plot. It was a great party, as Abra’s parties always are. The dance floor was heaving and I was particularly impressed by the fire swirling acrobat. And the yacht was an amusing touch. The Wobbly Club of Catamaran Club, Falmouth Harbour, Antigua, is holding it’s 4th Annual B.Y.O.B. build your own boat contest on Feriday 16th February, 2007. It’s a good fun event where the most un-orthodox and deliberately un-offical ‘yacht club’ invites all yachties and friends to build a craft and sail, row or somehow propel it around the Catamaran Club. The results are hilarious!

Bernard Stamm, in the lead, on ‘Cheminees Poujoulat’ and Kojiro Shiraishi, in second place, on ‘Spirit of Yukoh’ are battling upwind against building sea conditions in the South Atlantic. Stamm reports varying wind directions and strength and slow progress. ‘Cheminees Poujoulat’ is in the mid- South Atlantic 600 miles off Brazil. ‘Spirit of Yukoh’ is 210 miles East of the Falklands, heading North-West at 5 knots.
